I have to say the only characters I like so far are Neil, Renee, and Matt because the rest of the team members are nuts but I am willing to give them a chance. I need answers! Even though the story revolves around a fictional sport, the characters and their stories are messed up and interesting. I wish there were more answers but I understand as this is only the first book and the author needs to keep the readers' interest in the books. MINUS: Apart from the fact that everyone's a psycho I liked everything. I also found myself enjoying reading about Exy, is like reading about Quidditch for the first time you know? Confusing but fun.Īlso a big plus is that the book features strong females, race minorities, different sexualities, etc and treats them as equal. PLUS: The story is actually super interesting and catchy! Also the fact that the main character is not a psycho helps a lot. ![]() The secondary characters are: the coach David Wymack, the nurse Abby Winfield, and the psychologist Betsy Dobson. Whinny and not interesting), and Allison Reynolds (defensive dealer. She seems a cutie pie but it's suspicious), Seth Gordon (striker. He's the only male with common sense), Renee Walker (goalkeeper. It’s extremely popular and the only thing that makes Neil happy. The Foxhole Court focuses on a fictional sport called Exy, which seems like a mix of lacrosse, hockey, and some other sports I cant quite remember. Andrew's twin), Nicky Hemmick (backliner. I didnt like certain aspects of the novel, but overall plotline interested me enough to actually want to continue the series. He's a psycho), Aaron Minyard (backliner. The whole book revolves around Exy so the other characters are his team mates: Kevin Day (ex famous elite player and now striker), Danielle Wilds (the captain and offensive dealer, yes! a girl!), Andrew Minyard (goalkeeper. He loves playing and he's good so he gets recruited by Palmetto State's Foxes as a sub and then things get even more complicated because he's exposed to the public and national TVs. ![]() Because he's on the run he has to disguise himself and keep it low profile so that he doesn't get murdered (yes, it is that bad) but the only thing he cannot give away is Exy. CHARACTERS: The main character is Neil Josten (striker), he's a runaway with a tragic past and an unsecured future.
